Get\r\none that&#8217;s also center-finding, because it will show you the edges of the stud\r\nand ensure your mounting screws are solidly embedded in the middle of the stud\r\nand not glacing off the edge.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Decide_where_you_want_your_TV_mount_to_hang\"><\/span>2)&nbsp; Decide where you want your TV mount to hang<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Choose your ideal spot for mounting. Mark out\r\nwhere you would like the top of your TV to be, and work downwards to mark where\r\nyour mounting screws would be. The projected screw holes will be your reference\r\npoint for stud finding.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Prepare_the_wall\"><\/span>3)&nbsp; Prepare the wall<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Prepare the wall by removing all metallic\r\nobjects or wall-mounted items in the vicinity of your mounting area, to prevent\r\nthem from interfering with the readings of your stud finder. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Check_the_batteries\"><\/span>4)&nbsp; Check the batteries<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Ensure your stud finder&#8217;s batteries are full,\r\nas weak batteries can give completely inaccurate readings.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Calibrate_your_stud_finder\"><\/span>5)&nbsp; Calibrate your stud finder<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Hold your stud finder flat against the wall,\r\nand start its calibration mode. As the stud\r\nfinder passes over a stud, it will inform youMark it out.
